Challenge A high-traffic magazine signup flow was converting at industry-average rates despite strong organic reach. The existing flow had 7 screens, unclear value messaging, and a form structure built around internal data needs rather than user psychology.
Solution Rooftop ran a two-week UX research sprint — session recordings, exit surveys, competitor teardowns. Redesigned the flow to 3 screens: lead with the value proposition, defer data collection, reduce perceived commitment. Rebuilt copy around what the reader gains, not what the publisher wants.
Result Conversion rate lifted 60% in the first 30 days post-launch, measured against a 4-week holdback cohort. Annualised subscriber value impact in the seven figures.

Challenge Bluefarm had a strong product — oat milk made from whole grain, shipped directly — but a D2C website that felt generic. High bounce rates, low subscription uptake, and a checkout flow that hadn't been touched since launch. The brand story wasn't translating to conversion.
Solution Full D2C redesign: new information architecture from homepage through checkout, a visual identity refresh that connected craft and transparency, and a subscription-first product page layout. Copywriting reframed around the supply chain story rather than generic health claims.
Result 40% lift in overall CVR within 60 days. Subscription attachment rate increased by 22 percentage points. Repeat purchase rate up 18%.

Challenge A globally recognised skincare brand expanding its Berlin flagship needed a brand expression that held its ground in the most design-literate city in Europe. The existing identity worked globally but felt generic against the specificity of Berlin's creative culture. In-store and digital assets were inconsistent.
Solution Rooftop developed a Berlin-market brand layer: a new spatial typography system, an editorial colour palette drawn from the city's architecture, and a photography direction brief that distinguished the flagship from global campaign assets. Rolled out across in-store, print, and social.
Result The flagship became the brand's highest-performing retail market by revenue-per-square-metre in the following quarter. The Berlin identity system was adopted as the European flagship template for two further markets.
